Seaton Tramway is proud to be organising and hosting the Natural Seaton Festival 2024 at various locations around the town. This event will be bigger and better than ever! Focusing on our precious natural environment, and will be celebrating all things nature.
This year the festival will take place in Thury Harcourt Place, Tesco Plaza, the beach, and Seaton Amphitheatre with drop-in activities as well as special timed events taking place throughout the weekend.
There will be something for everyone, so do come along and join us for this exciting community event.
Festival FAQ
When is the festival taking place?
The festival will take place on 27th and 28th July 2024, between 10am and 5pm.
Where in Seaton is the festival taking place?
The festival is taking place at Thury Harcourt Place, Tesco Plaza, and the Amphitheatre (Jurassic Discovery and Seaton Station).
How do I get to Seaton?
You can get to Seaton by bus, train, car or taxi, plus trams will be running between Colyton and Seaton every twenty minutes.
Will there be food and drink available?
There will be a range of food stalls on Thury Harcourt place, outside the tram station
Will there be activities for children?
Most of the children’s activities around Tesco Plaza and the Amphitheatre, between Seaton Station and Jurassic Discovery
Help! I’ve lost my child!
You can collect a ‘Lost Child’ wristband, from Festival HQ, in front of Seaton Station. You can write your contact details on the band, so should your little ones, wander off, you can be contacted.
Children can be reminded that if they get lost to go to Festival HQ or Seaton Station and talk to a member of staff.
Where are the toilets?
Toilets can be located on Thury Harcourt, Seaton Station or Tesco.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on Thury Harcourt Place, Tesco Plaza and are also allowed on the trams (£2 each way). Dogs are permitted on certain areas of the beach or Seaton Wetlands. There will be a fun dog show on Sunday 28th July in the Amphitheatre.
Please keep your dog on a lead when visiting the festival and please remember to pick up after your dog.
Is the Tramway running special trams during the festival weekend?
Birdwatching Trams will depart at 6pm from Seaton Station on 28th July. Booking essential at www.tram.co.uk/events
We will also run our ‘Wetlands Express’
£5 for Adults and free for children, this ticket is a return from Seaton to Seaton Wetlands
Where can I park for the festival?
There are a number of parking options available,
Parking
Parking is available at the following pay and display car parks run by East Devon District Council:
- Underfleet Car park, EX12 2WD – this is approximately a 3-minute walk to Thury Harcourt Place, the Amphitheatre and Tesco Plaza. Those in need of accessible parking should park here.
- Seaton Town Hall Long Stay Car park, EX12 2WE – approximately a 4-minute walk to Thury Harcourt Place, the Amphitheatre and Tesco Plaza.
- Orchard Short Stay Car park, Old Beer Road, EX12 2PD – approximately an 8-minute walk Thury Harcourt Place, the Amphitheatre and Tesco Plaza.

Parking can also be found on Seaton Esplanade, on the seafront – pay and display at the ticket machines.

Why are some events ticketed?
Whilst it is free to access the Festival space, some events must be ticketed due to capacity and size.
Is there an entry fee?
There is no entry fee and many of the activities and events will be offered free of charge although there will be a small charge for some activities such as the Animal HQ animal handling, Motown, Axe Throwing and trams.

How do I get involved in the festival as a volunteer?
There are many different volunteering opportunities available, please contact Diane Roberts diane@tram.co.uk for further information. Any help you can give would be appreciated and you do not have to volunteer for the entire duration of the festival!
